Training Description
The 56-hour Domestic Violence Training Academy takes place over 7 days from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with an hour break for lunch. Completion of this 56 hr. training meets the requirements set by California Evidence Code 1037.1 for designation as a Domestic Violence Counselor. After completing the training, graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion that will enable them to pursue volunteer and employment opportunities working directly with survivors of domestic violence at the Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center (once you have cleared a background check and orientation). You must register by the deadline to be accepted into the training.
Deadline to Register is April 28, 2023. Space Limited to 50 participants.
